Thankful Thursday Part II

Thankful Thursday again… I love Thursdays! For more than one reason but my favorite reason is because I get to share with my readers the things I am thankful for! So here they are:

~I am thankful that I was able to witness to someone this week that doesn’t know Jesus on a personal level. And might I add, I am going to keep on witnessing as long as this person is willing to listen!

~I am also thankful that my heart is beginning to heal. Day by day I feel a little better about my life and I feel a little stronger. Thank You Jesus!

~I am thankful for the Women of Faith Study Bible that was given to me on May 22, 2006, by some very special women: Angie, Lori and MomG. I love this Bible and I just want to say thank you once again!

~I am thankful for the yummy batch of brownies that my Dad so graciously whipped up this morning for my office….. As if I needed warm brownies, fresh out the oven, topped with chocolate frosting and nuts….. Mmmmmm!!!!! Thanks Daddio!

~I am thankful for my job. Without it, I’m not sure what I would be doing. I love my job and I love what I do! For those of you that don’t know what I do, I work at the corporate office of a local family owned corporation. My employers own two hardware stores, two building supply stores, a trim company, one paint center, a door shop, two storage unit facilities, several rentals, and last but not least lots and lots of property. They are very family oriented and I couldn’t have asked for more supportive and trustworthy employers! Oh, by the way, I do Accounts Receivable and many other tasks. Not many people I know can say that they love their job and what they do and their employers…. I am blessed! I have been working at the same job for 12 years and two months. I have moved positions a few times but the last time I moved – I moved right on up to the headquarters! Go me!

~I am thankful that I was able to go to the Christian book store on my lunch hour yesterday. I love going there. With thanks be to my job, I was able to buy myself two new books and a t-shirt referencing to John 4:14. I also bought Noah a really good book! I finally was able to get myself a new study bible. I ended up going with the KJV Study Bible. It is soooo heavy – and I am getting my name on it! I am so excited! I have to go and pick it up today sometime! YAY! One of the books I bought for myself is titled Matters of the Heart…… You know I had to get that one – that’s the name of my blog! Juanita Bynum (author) leads the book with this saying: “Stop trying to fix the old – Let God give you something new.” How true is that?

~I am thankful to have parents who actually take time with my son. They both love my little boy to pieces! And Noah loves to hang out with his grandparents! Some children aren’t as blessed as Noah. And that’s a shame….. I am glad that Noah has grandparents that will take time out of their lives to make memories with him!

~And last but not least, I am truly thankful for my life. I may have said this before but I am grateful that I have yet another day to spend on Earth.

Praying that you have a blessed Thursday!

What a wonderful place God has given you to work.
And I love getting new Bibles too.
I haven't read anything by Juanita Bynum in a while. I used to see her on TBN all the time. Actually went to see her in Fla. a few years ago--it was powerful.
Thank you for joining us today. Enjoy that new Bible!

Oh I am so glad your heart is healing. I am not there yet but I keep praying. I am a Bible collector but the one I use the most often is my Women of Faith. My ex-FIL gave it to me and it is purple. (lol)

How cool you found a book with the same name as your blog. I can spend hours in the Christian bookstore and way too much money.

Love you, Lyndy

What a wonderful list! I really enjoyed it. You are blessed to be able to say you love your job, I don't know very many who can say that.

I was looking around your blog for a bit- it's wonderful! I saw that you use myspace, so I requested you as a friend- just in case you wonder who Melanie is!

How neat that will be getting a new study Bible--with your name on it.
You are right - Noah is very blessed to have such loving grandpartens around who love him :)

Sandy, what a wonderful post and list. Glad that you were able to do some shopping and sounds like you found things you will really be able to use & enjoy. It is also refreshing to hear someone give thanks for their job/work. We hear that too infrequently, taking our livelihoods for granted without realizing it. I'm certainly guilty of that.

Drop by the newly resdesigned and greatly improved "On the Horizon" to see my list! :-)

I really enjoyed reading this blog. Always such an uplift learning why another person is grateful. And it makes me ponder on my blessings also, which makes my day that much brighter. Thanks for sharing.
